wonderful thing: Diletta's baptism. Sweet, sweet, wonderful young woman. The chapel was full of friends and family. She shared her nervousness; I told her I had felt the same way. She seemed to feel relieved at that. I've spoken of the problem with reverence - there was no such problem yesterday afternoon. The Spirit was there in abundance; 17-year-old Virginia, long-time friend and member (Diletta's mother's family are all members, but most are less active, so Diletta has been in and out of church since childhood), gave one of the best discourses on the meaning and obligations of baptism we've ever heard. Diletta's mom, who hasn't been active in church for years, was there and happy, along with Diletta's brother Alessandro. Alessandro never showed much interest when we were there, but all that seems to have changed in the last few days. A marvel! And just in time, a new president of the Young Men has been called. I like what's going on.
fun thing: We did something on purpose yesterday: we slept in!
