Every morning when I write in my journal, I'm surprised by the date.

Wonderful thing for Friday - Monday, 13 - 16 March:

We planned our day in Pisa so carefully Saturday, so carefully!  Some things went as planned, most did not.  The thing that we have learned, though, even before the mission, but it's serving us well, is that if you pray and plan and plan and pray, even when things don't go the way you planned...as my friend Lisa says:  "God's got this."

What went right:  We got to vist Doris.  In her house, away from the co-owner of her exotic foods store, who does what he can to railroad her efforts to do well.   She is enrolling in Pathway!  We also met again with our sweet friend Cristel, and met her boyfriend Alessio.  We also made it to Katiuska's house, together with the sister missionaries.  She lives so far out of Pisa that when she comes in for church, she sometimes stays at someone's house then goes back the next day.  We hada great get-to-know you visit with her, her adorable 5-year-old sister, and her mom.  If you saw the Facebook pic with the gorgeous mountain and charming village, that was it.

What didn't go well:  why talk about it?  It was a wonderful day!

Fun thing:

Coming home, we treated the sisters to dinner at the Devil's Bridge Pizzeria near Lucca.  The waitress there was a hoot, we had a great time with her.  The Devil's Bridge is an amazing sight, a stone arch over the river.

Yes, it's been awhile since I posted.  Yes, we've been very occupied, good stuff.
