fruits in remote places

Wonderful thing for Thursday, 19 February:

Dave and Heather Evertsen are Americans living in Florence.  Their oldest daughter, Tiana, is in the States studying; their other five children go to public school and speak both English and Italian with absolute fluency.  Dave is a world traveler, making government contracts in one country or another, using his expertise in city planning and related areas.  Heather has her finger in all sorts of entrepreneurial efforts - she can take you on a tour, sell you a leather-bound journal with the Rome temple embossed on the cover, and put you up in her vacation home rental.  I don't know how they do it all.

We sat with them at a rosticceria near their home last evening, talking about great ways to share the good news of the Restored Gospel.  They have a list of about 300 people whom they want to take to the open house when the temple is ready, that they update continually,

To hear their story is to see the hand of the Lord moving in the lives of his people.  They are doing a good work.

Fun thing:

Talking to their kids, aged 5 to 17.   A rich life!
