wonderful thing Wednesday: hands down, Pietro. Here's a young man who grew up in Costa Rica, half Italian. He speaks great English. He's studying interior design in Florence. He's 27; he's been feeling the desire to live with more purpose and meaning. Don't know how he met the elders; he has agreed to be baptized Nov. 8. We assisted at a lesson last night about the Priesthood, and it was delightful and exhilarating to witness his humble openness and willingness to receive and to do.
"He that receiveth the word by the Spirit of truth receiveth it as it is preached by the Spirit of truth...Wherefore, he that preacheth and he that receiveth, understand one another, and both are edified and rejoice together. (D&C 50:21-22)" That's what we experienced with Pietro.
fun thing: One of our GANS texted us to ask if we wanted to come watch them play soccer!!! YES!!! Unfortunately, we couldn't go, BUT being asked is big, very big.
