Fun thing: So after planning our day and beginning to put our plan into effect, a wrench was thrown in the works, and we found ourselves on the way to Livorno, in the rain, so that Blaine could caulk some missionary apartment showers. Have you ever driven through Tuscany in the rain? Ooooh mmmmyyyy. I don't even want to attempt to describe it; there's no way I would do it justice. I am posting pics on FB of our trip last week...
In which I share just a sample of why it is indeed a great thing to be a senior missionary couple, always with the hope that many more senior couples will join us in this amazing opportunity. For this reason: PLEASE SHARE! thanks

Make your plans and go forward
Wonderful thing: I love being here, doing this! It's the start of a new week, so we talked about our goals, about the people we want to focus on and what we'll do. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and completely inadequate...but that's right where the Lord wants us (we're the kind of things he'll "thrash the earth with" - the "weak things" - D&C 35:13), because that's when we turn to him, realizing there's no way we can even come close to success by ourselves. Yesterday I felt so much pressure - there was so much to do, so much to be equal to, so many whom I do not know, and yet to whom I am supposed to minister. When I put those fears up on a shelf and just stay in the moment, where all the tools I need are at my disposal ("Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof" - 3 Ne. 13:34 - This is a far clearer statement than the one in Matthew 6:34; it shows us that whatever challenges life throws at us, the moment in which we are, walking in the grace of God now, is sufficient.), somehow things go along just fine. And they did. And they do. And they will.
